Two more early character designs from before DragonBall was published. The left depicts one prototype of Son Goku and Bulma, while the other (looking closer to the Goku and Bulma we know today) gives the female’s name as Pinchi.
“Bulma” is a strange name, but it’s better than the alternative!
These are both so pretty! I love both country girl prototype Bulma and her sexy city counterpart, haha.
And hey, being named after a dated form of women’s underwear isn’t really that stranger than being named after a pinch.
